From 2025 ...
Despite a wet start that delayed league play until mid-April, the season quickly proved to be a successful and meaningful one. Our league welcomed 94 members, including seven lifetime members, and together we played 794 rounds of golf, with Patti McCarver leading the way in rounds played.
One of our year's biggest highlights was Golf for A Cause, chaired by Theresa Plonkey, which raised more than $12,000.00 for the Alzheimer's Association. We also filled all spots for the Member-Guest Day expertly hosted by Marty Miller and Peggy Bates.
On the competitive side, Letitia Webster captured the Memorial Tournament title in her first year with the league. Karin Rader continued her outstanding play, winning the Club Championship for the second year in a row. Karin also won the Kay Tankard Putting Contest.
A total of 49 ladies participated in the Ringer Board Contest. Karin Rader won Low Gross and Ellaine Long won Low Net. Susan Hosbach earned the recognition of Most Improved Player.
The Shaver Walls Tournament had strong participation with 36 ladies competing. In the Consolidation bracket, Susan Hosbach claimed the win with Patti McCarver as runner up. Vicki Marrs won the Walls bracket, followed by Carolyn Johnson as the runner up. The Shaver bracket was won by Martha Hueneke, with Vicki Shofner as the runner up. Martha Hueneke emerged as the overall champion.
The season concluded on a high note as the Harpeth Hills Ladies retained the Davis Cup Trophy and graciously sponsored the event, celebrating both competition and camaraderie.
Looking ahead, the league secured a new software program for the 2026 season, transitioning from Golf Genius to Unknown Golf, a move that will generate cost savings in the years to come.
