SPONSORS
Good afternoon to all of the participants in the 2025 Alzheimer's Association Golf Fore A Cause,
I want to thank each of you for all of your support of us as a committee and the HHLGL overall through your participation in the golf tournament yesterday. We had so much fun planning it and adding some new events to this year's tournament, and from your feedback they were all well received.
I was so grateful for the beautiful weather and just hearing all the wonderful conversations taking place all around the room. Not all of you know this but we actually had participants from St. Louis, Indianapolis, and Pennsylvania here to participate in the event. They all commented on what a great group of ladies we have in our league and how much they enjoyed being a part of us.
For those who had to leave due to the extended length of play, here are the final results.
With regard to our fundraising, our current total is almost $12,000. I have to wait for all of the accounting to be finalized by our treasurer to ensure that we have calculated the amount from the Silent Auction correctly and that I am showing the Net Proceeds correctly, but that is a PHENOMENAL amount raised.
Once again, thanks from the bottom of our hearts.
Warmest regards,
Theresa Plonkey and the entire Golf Fore A Cause Committee

Hello my fellow Harpeth Hills Ladies Golf League members,
It is that time of year for us to begin signing up for our Golf-Fore-A-Cause. This year our charity is the Alzheimer’s Association. Throughout the year the Alzheimer’s Association holds events supporting their Longest Day efforts.
The Longest Day is the day with the most light - the summer solstice. They select this day as a symbolism because this disease brings such darkness to those who suffer with it.
Although the summer solstice was on June 20, our event will be held on September 11 when our Harpeth Hills Ladies Golf League will host The Longest Day Golf Tournament.
This tournament is a two-person team event and the teams can be a member and a member or a member and a guest (but both have to be women). We will not require handicaps for the tournament, so consider that in selecting your guest for the event.
The dollars we raise enable the Alzheimer's Association to deliver critical care and support services while advancing research toward treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure. A portion of each entry fee will go to the Alzheimer's Association in the Net Proceeds at the end of the tournament.
This tournament is a FUNDRAISER, and our committee is putting together a lot of exciting things to help us raise funds, but to also make it a great event for all participants. The specifics are as follows:
When: Thursday, September 11
Cost: $75 per golfer (Two-person teams)
Prizes: Three flights – 1st, 2nd and 3rd places
Closest to the Pin – 4 prizes
Longest Drive - 2 prizes
Format: Front 9 – Both players tee off, select the best drive, and then play their own balls individually from that spot for the remainder of the hole. The best score of the two golfers goes on the card
Back 9 – Each player plays their ball for the 9 holes. The best score of the two golfers goes on the card
MAX DOUBLE PAR FOR ENTIRE ROUND
SPECIAL SCORING OPPORTUNITY – PRO HITS YOUR DRIVE FOR A $10 DONATION ON HOLE #5 - Must be purchased at sign-up
An Online Silent Auction offering many donated items for you to bid on to directly support the Charity
The entry fee covers 18-holes of golf with cart and range balls, a catered lunch from Food and Company with drinks, a 1/4 zip pullover embroidered with the Harpeth logo and our tournament name, a $20 gift card to the PGA Superstore, take away breakfast items, water distributed around the course, and Cash Prize offerings for 3-flights 1st - 3rd place, four CTTP opportunities, two longest drive opportunities, and two mulligans and two tosses per team.
Please go to the https://www.hhlga.org/ website to register your team and begin looking forward to a day filled with fun raising funds for a very worthy cause.
Warmest regards,
Theresa Plonkey
